Partner with us to Build Wealth for Missoula

What is an endowment?

An endowment is like a savings account that only spends the interest.  The principle continues to grow in value and becomes a dependable and perpetual source of funding supporting nonprofits and community needs.

Your gift is an investment in Missoula's future.

The current wealth in Missoula County is estimated to be $32.6 billion. In just seven years, by 2030, it is estimated that $3.6 billion in assets will move from one generation to the next.*

Your support is critical in ensuring that Missoula is positioned to capture 5% of the greatest wealth transfer ever. This would translate to $8.1 M every year to support this place that we love.

The Missoula Community Foundation is here to help individuals, professional service providers, and organizations harness this 5% — especially non-cash assets, which make up 90% of household wealth in the United States but are underutilized in charitable giving.

We have the experience, expertise, and systems in place to make this not only feasible, but easy! This is what we do.

It is important that we work quickly, as this wealth transfer is happening now and will not happen again this century.

Your gift to us will have a ripple effect that benefits our greater community
