Women’s Giving Circle to Support Civic Engagement and Community Advocacy with 2025 Grant

The Women’s Giving Circle of Missoula County’s annual grant will support organizations engaged in Civic Engagement & Community Advocacy. The grant application is open July 15th through August 30th.

This grant aims to strengthen initiatives that promote civic participation, advance community-driven solutions to systemic issues, and empower marginalized communities through sustained advocacy and organizing.

Organizations that are already actively engaged in this work and can demonstrate a track record of impact, strategic advocacy, and community-rooted leadership are especially encouraged to apply.

  • Programs that mobilize communities to engage in civic life, particularly those historically excluded from decision-making processes.
  • Initiatives that challenge and seek to reform unjust systems and policies through advocacy, coalition-building, and community organizing.
  • Organizations with lived experience, credibility, and deep relationships within the communities they serve.

Civic engagement and advocacy can take many forms, and the WGC is prioritizing organizations for whom this work is core to their mission. Their goal is to support groups ready to accelerate their impact, not those just beginning to explore civic engagement.

The WGC has granted $81,000 to the Missoula community since its inception in 2018. Membership is open to all women and nonbinary individuals in Missoula who are interested in collective giving. This year, 92 members of the WGC decided on the focus of their grant making — and they will learn about that focus at educational events and determine the grant awards together. All are welcome, learn more at WomensGivingCircleMissoula.org.
